A Modern Heirloom Rooted in Symbolism

The Odyssey Collection was designed as a celebration of storytelling, protection, travel, and personal meaning — jewelry created to evolve with the woman wearing it. Inspired by ancient talismans, treasured keepsakes collected over time, and Maggie’s love of pieces that feel both worldly and emotional, Odyssey was designed to become part of your everyday ritual.

At the heart of the collection is the idea that jewelry should feel personal. Not static. Not precious in a way that sits in a box. But lived in, layered, collected, and built over time.

Each necklace is intentionally designed to allow the wearer to customize her story through removable charms and interchangeable styling. The collection blends signature Mignonne Gavigan textures with symbolic elements inspired by travel, the sea, vintage jewelry, and heirloom keepsakes.

Designed by Maggie Gavigan

For Maggie, The Odyssey began with the desire to create a piece women could make their own.

She wanted something lightweight enough for everyday wear, elevated enough for evening, and versatile enough to evolve season after season. The original design process focused heavily on proportion, movement, layering, and collectibility — ensuring every charm felt intentional and every necklace could stand alone or be personalized over time.

The collection quickly became one of the brand’s most recognizable and emotionally connected pieces because of how women wear it:

Layered with existing MG favorites
Styled differently for travel and events
Gifted with symbolic charms
Collected season after season

The Odyssey is designed to feel like a modern heirloom — jewelry that carries memories with it.

I designed The Odyssey to feel like a piece you collect memories in. I wanted women to personalize it, layer it, and make it part of their everyday uniform. Every charm tells a story.
