Our Story

Mignonne Gavigan was created to fill a gap in the jewelry world—to offer pieces that are bold, artistic, and full of personality, unlike generic or mass-produced options.

We wanted to empower people to express themselves, make a statement with their style, and feel joy and confidence every time they wear a piece. Beyond aesthetics, MG’s vision was to bring artistry, craftsmanship, and storytelling into wearable jewelry, creating collections that are not only beautiful but meaningful.

The Founder Story

Mignonne Gavigan launched in 2014. It was a bit spontaneous. Mignonne, "Maggie", was experimenting with a beaded couture vintage gown and an embellished piece of fabric fell to the floor. She picked it up and fastened it around her neck because she thought it was a cool scarf vibe. On her walk home through Soho a handful of compliments and questions on where she had gotten her necklace came about and the first Mignonne Gavigan design idea was born. She always knew she wanted to create a brand, a community and a workplace that were all built on kindness and happiness.

Rooted in a lifetime of creating—illustrating, painting, and working in fashion—Maggie founded Mignonne Gavigan to fill a void in the market for bold, artistic jewelry. Each piece reflects her love of fashion and craftsmanship, letting people express their individuality and feel confident every day.

Each piece begins by hand—either sketched or sculpted with putty and shaped into something entirely original. These forms are then transformed into molds, capturing a sense of movement that defines every design.
