Guatemala
A quick trip to Guatemala proved to be the exact sunshine our hearts needed. After being unable to travel internationally for the past few years, it was an exhilarating rush of newness and adventure. Thankful for a dear Guatemalan-native friend Ana, and a serendipitous chance that our previous MG designer Adri now lives there. We wandered, we laughed, we took 14 hour day trips to squeeze in as much as we possibly could. We watched sunrises on Volcanos and have hazy roadside calla lilies imprinted in our minds. We designed out of an ethos of overflow after an encounter with the color, people, architecture, flora and fauna, and warmth of Guatemala. We embraced a modern, tropical, hacienda aesthetic–hidden among palms and exotic blissful island daydreams that opened ourselves up to our senses, to our wander.

Our Spring / Summer collection tells a story of a blissful and hopeful, restorative ease. Rooted in Bahamian sherbet and citrus shades, this season promises a serene, jubilant spirit of coastal getaways and summer romances. Highlighting a vibrant handmade French knots embroidery technique, the collection is furthered by sea glass beads, charms, and sculptural mother of pearls–emphasizing the simple act of collecting objects to cherish. Surrounded by iconic palm tree wallpaper and blooming botanicals, the island way of life has such a wonderous appeal.In a moment where travel stood still, we relied on memory and imagination to design a collection that felt overflowing with life.
